WHAT HAPPENS IN A WORKSHOP?
Workshops take place in our home studio located in the Town of Poughkeepsie. When you arrive at your workshop, you’ll receive your board and personal stencil. You’ll check out our paint bar and select the paint and stain colors that you would like to use for your project. You do not need to paint using the same colors as the picture in our project gallery. Let your creative juices flow! If you need advice on color combinations, we’ll be there to help.
An instructor will paint a demo sign and walk you through all the steps of the project. Then you’ll be able to work at your own pace to paint your project. Don’t worry if you forget a step, you won’t be alone, we’ll be there to help you along the way.
Workshops typically last between 2 - 2 1/2 hours, and projects include painting, staining, sanding wood, and using a vinyl stencil. Feel free to bring your own snacks, beverages, and music playlist.
Our evening workshops are adults-only (ages 16+), but we do offer a Sunday afternoon workshop that's open to all ages.
TO SIGN UP FOR A WORKSHOP
Step 1 PICK YOUR PROJECT
Check out our project gallery to see the different projects that we offer. When you've found the project you want to make, just click on it to begin the registration process.
Step 2 SELECT YOUR WORKSHOP
Use the dropdown menu to select "Paint in the studio at a Workshop."
Next, choose which workshop date you're interested in attending.
Step 3 COMPLETE YOUR ORDER
You'll have to answer some questions to help customize your project to your liking... Would you like your board to be a standard board or have a frame added to it. Is there anything personalized on your board like a family name or established date? We'll want to know those details.
Then just add the design to your cart and complete the checkout.
Step 4 SHOW UP & HAVE FUN
When you show up at the workshop, we'll have everything you'll need ready for you.
If for some reason you can't find something in our project gallery that speaks to you, we do offer custom orders for an additional fee. Just look for "Custom" in the project gallery and pick the type of project you're interested in making (i.e. "custom plank" or "custom pallet"). Once you make your selection, you'll have a text box to write in the description of what you're looking for, or you can upload an image for inspiration. We love making your dreams become a reality!
Are you attending with friends? Let us know in the notes section at checkout if there is someone you’d like to be seated by in the workshop.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to settle in and pick paint colors so everyone can start on time.
